EXTRACURRICULARS

For IBOLD league participants that are interested, we offer some extracurriculars that are opportunities for enhancing involvement with the league and getting rewarded for following our games and results.
Gamescore Squares:
For the Summer 2026 season, we offer Gamescore Squares that are similar to Super Bowl squares. Participants may purchase up to 4 squares. Each square costs $10. The purchased square(s) will be valid for five games (Weeks 1-5, Weeks 6-10, or Weeks 11-15). Hence, one square provides five chances to win during the five-game interval.
The grid will be 10 x 10, consisting of 100 squares. The squares will be numbered 1 to 100 and assigned to participants using a random number generator; as a result, you have equal chance to get the 4-3 square as the 9-0 square.
Participants will be notified of their assigned square prior to the game played. For example, a participant purchasing 3 squares may be randomly assigned Squares 16, 69, and 82; furthermore, Square 16 is a winner for each of the five games where the score is Home 5 - Away 1. The corners (Squares 1, 10, 91, 100) are reserved for the Bags & Sticks charity, with these squares representing 0-0, 0-9, 9-0, and 9-9 scores.
All the proceeds from squares sold will be paid out in five equal amounts to the respective winners for Weeks 1-5, Weeks 6-10, or Weeks 11-15. In addition, the Bags & Sticks or IBOLD will include a random drawing after each five-week interval to reward a participant with a gift card or trinket. Participants must be active members of IBOLD league therefore goalies, full-time skaters, part-time skaters, and subs may participate.
See the example grid detailed below.
50/25/25 Raffle:
For the Summer 2026 season, we offer a 50/25/25 Raffle. A random drawing near the end of the Summer 2026 season will determine the winner and runner-up. The winner will get 50% of the proceeds and the runner-up will get 25% of the proceeds. The remainder is contributed to the Bags & Sticks charitable foundation that benefits hockey players in our community as well as supporting other charities in our community. The winner and runner-up will be determined based on a random drawing to be conducted in front of several of the league participants to ensure fairness and transparency. IBOLD participants are encouraged to partake in the Raffle to support the Bags & Sticks charitable organization.
There are 100 squares in the grid that will be used for a five-game interval; as a result, each square has a chance to win in each of the five games played. Participants may select up to 4 squares in each 10x10 grid.
Assume that a participant opts for 3 squares (or 15 chances). Prior to the five games, the participant will be randomly assigned three squares; for example Squares 16, 69, and 82.
Square 16 is rewarded for Home 5 - Away 1
Square 69 is rewarded for Home 8 - Away 6
Square 82 is rewarded for Home 1 - Away 8.
In this example, the participant is rewarded for any of the five games where the score is 5-1, 8-6, or 1-8.
Additionally, if any of the winning squares are Not Assigned then the four adjacent squares split the reward for that weekly score. For example, Square 16 (H5-A1) can get partially rewarded if the score is H5-A2 when Square 26 is unassigned.
The corner squares represent the most unlikely outcomes (0-0, 0-9, 9-0, and 9-9) and are reserved for Bags & Sticks charitable organization. At the end of the five-game interval, a random drawing will award a gift certificate or trinket to a participant that is contributed or funded by Bags & Sticks or IBOLD to encourage participation.
Payout will reward one-fifth of the total proceeds from all squares (up to 96 squares). Participants may be limited to 4 squares in order to allow for all in the IBOLD league to participate in this extracurricular event.
